Achievements and Recognition

Successful Community Mobilization: SSPS has successfully mobilized communities, leveraging innovative approaches to encourage participation and local resource management. The organization has been instrumental in mainstreaming socially disadvantaged groups, with extensive support from government bodies and international agencies like Brooke India, CARE India, and NABARD.
Increased Access to Family Planning Services: SSPS's UHI project significantly improved family planning use in Mathura slums, particularly for female sterilization, IUCD, and DMPA.
Community Engagement and Capacity Building: SSPS has conducted numerous community meetings, training sessions, and awareness programs, empowering local communities to take charge of their health and development.
Support for Women's Groups: The organization has established 85 Mahila Aarogya Samitis and supported 96 community groups, promoting health awareness and economic activities like sewing centers.
Development of Resource Persons for Science and Technology Programs: Through programs under the Ministry of Science and Technology, SSPS has created nearly 200 resource persons per program, focusing on hands-on activities and demonstrations in areas such as mathematics, physics, and other scientific disciplines.
Skill Development for Handicraft Artisans: Under programs associated with the Ministry of Handicrafts, artisans were taught new skills to improve their craftsmanship and marketability. These initiatives enhanced their ability to adapt to changing market trends and sustain their livelihoods.

Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation: SSPS has been involved in disaster relief operations, providing immediate assistance and long-term rehabilitation support to communities affected by natural disasters. The organization works on rebuilding infrastructure, restoring livelihoods, and offering psychological support to the victims.
Cultural Promotion: SSPS organizes cultural events and programs to preserve and promote the rich heritage and traditions of rural India. These events foster a sense of community and pride among the local populations, while also attracting tourism and economic opportunities.
